Williams Sonoma Sale Finds
Summer Tabletop Edit
There’s a sense of serenity in a well-set table. I pulled together a few pieces from the Williams Sonoma summer tabletop sale that caught my eye and created mood boards around how I’d use them for three different dinner party settings. Each one feels distinct but easy, nothing too precious, just thoughtful layers that make a meal feel like a moment.

Soft and Romantic
Blush tones, garden style florals, and sculptural details. This palette leans into the ease of summer, delicate without being fussy. I’d use it for a long lunch or early evening drinks in the garden. Add a floral arrangement, a good playlist, and keep the menu light.
Key pieces:
AERIN Floral dinnerware
AERIN Pink scalloped placemats and dinner napkins
Silver cocktail shaker - obsessed with this style!
Floral notes:
Loose, layered peonies, spray roses, and garden roses in soft pinks and whites.
Playlist:
Instrumental jazz or something like Édith Piaf or Charlotte Day Wilson playing softly in the background.
Menu:
Herbed focaccia, chilled cucumber soup, burrata with peaches and basil, followed by rosé and something citrusy for dessert.
Coastal and Elegant
Blue and white with just the right amount of texture. This one is simple and unfussy, but still makes an impression. Think: fresh oysters, crisp wine, and linen everything. I like pairing refined plates with more organic flowers to keep it from feeling too formal.
Key pieces:
Floral note:
Something you can shape easily like Calla lilies or tulips in a low, textural vase. Let it feel a bit windswept like a sail.
Playlist:
Nils Frahm, Bon Iver, or a quiet playlist of instrumental acoustic covers.
Menu:
Oysters with mignonette, grilled shrimp skewers, heirloom tomato salad, fresh sourdough, chilled white wine or a coastal gin spritz.
Slow Evening, Spiced Table
Pattern-forward and full of energy. This look is playful but not chaotic—the palette does the work. I’d use it for a dinner that feels like a celebration: grilled food, fresh citrus, maybe a good tequila cocktail.
Key pieces:
Floral note:
Vivid ranunculus, orange spray roses, zinnias, or marigolds packed together in a flowing sculptural arrangement.
Playlist:
Classic Latin jazz, Buena Vista Social Club, or upbeat instrumental tracks with a touch of soul.
Menu:
Chips with guacamole and tomatillo salsa, tacos al pastor or shrimp with chimichurri, spicy margaritas, and something simple and cold for dessert, maybe paletas or a lime granita.
All three palettes are built to mix with pieces you already have. The idea is to create something that feels intentional, not staged.
If you're shopping the sale or setting a table soon, I'd love to know which mood you’re drawn to.
